DIY Plaster Aroma Stones

DIY Plaster Aroma Stones
Ingredients:
– 1 cup plaster of Paris
– 1/2 cup cool water
– Silicone mold (floral, geometric, hearts, etc.)
– Essential oils (lavender, citrus, eucalyptus, etc.)
– Small mixing bowl & spoon (disposable or craft-only)
– Optional: mica powder, dried flowers, pigment for color

Directions:
1. Prep Your Mold: Start by placing your silicone mold on a tray or flat surface. If you want to ease the release of the stones later, lightly dust the mold with cornstarch or mica powder if you’re using it.

2. Mix the Plaster: In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of plaster of Paris with 1/2 cup of cool water. Use a spoon to stir the mixture smoothly but quickly, as the plaster sets fast. If you’d like to tint your stones, you can add a pinch of mica powder or a natural colorant at this stage.

3. Pour & Tap: Carefully pour the plaster mixture into your prepared molds. To eliminate any air bubbles that may have formed, gently tap the mold on the table.

4. Let Set: Allow the stones to set for 30 to 60 minutes. Check to ensure they are fully hardened before attempting to remove them from the molds.

5. Scent Your Stones: After the stones have dried, add 2 to 3 drops of your chosen essential oil directly onto the back of each stone. Allow the oil to absorb fully before placing them in your desired location.

Tips & Variations:
– If you’d like to add an aesthetic touch, consider incorporating dried flowers into the plaster mixture before it sets.
– Experiment with the placement of essential oils—try using different scents for different stones to create a personalized aroma experience.
