Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 15–20 mins
Makes: 4 wraps
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs), cut into strips
½ cup buttermilk (or plain milk + 1 tsp vinegar)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Or Use (Optional):
8 frozen crispy chicken tenders or strips, baked per package directions
For the Wrap Assembly:
4 large flour tortillas
½ cup buffalo sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
½ cup ranch dressing
8 slices cooked bacon
1 cup shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
1 tomato, diced
½ cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
Optional: sliced red onion or pickles for extra crunch
Instructions
1. Prep the Chicken
If frying homemade:
Soak chicken strips in buttermilk for 15 minutes.
Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat (~350°F).
Dredge chicken in flour mixture, then fry for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Drain on paper towels.
If using pre-made chicken strips: Bake or air-fry until crispy and hot.
2. Toss in Buffalo Sauce
Place the cooked chicken strips in a large bowl and toss with buffalo sauce to coat evenly.
3. Assemble the Wraps
Warm the tortillas briefly in a skillet or microwave until pliable.
Layer each tortilla with:
A drizzle of ranch dressing
A handful of lettuce
Diced tomatoes
2 slices of bacon
Buffalo chicken strips
Shredded cheese
Extra ranch and buffalo sauce, if desired
4. Add Crunch (Optional)
Want extra crunch? Toss in a few crushed tortilla chips or fried onions before wrapping.
5. Wrap It Up
Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly into a wrap. Slice in half on the diagonal if serving immediately.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with fries, sweet potato wedges, or a side of celery sticks.
For a lighter option, use a low-carb tortilla and grilled chicken instead.
Make-Ahead & Storage
Wraps can be assembled (without lettuce/tomato) and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
To keep the crunch, wrap lettuce and other fresh toppings separately and add just before eating.
Pro Tips
Use spicy ranch or add a dash of hot sauce for an extra kick.
You can also press the wrap in a panini press for a warm, toasty finish.
