Crockpot Hot Dog Chili
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup water
Hot dogs and buns (for serving)
Shredded cheese (optional, for topping)
Chopped onions (optional, for topping)
Directions:
Cook the Beef:
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Prepare the Crockpot:
Transfer the cooked beef into the crockpot. Add chopped onion, garlic, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Mix and Cook:
Stir everything together until well combined. Add 1/2 cup of water to adjust the consistency. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve:
Toast hot dog buns if desired. Serve hot dogs topped with the chili, and garnish with shredded cheese and chopped onions if preferred.
