Golden on the outside, tender and cheesy on the inside β these potato fritters are a cozy, comforting treat thatβll win over even the biggest meat lovers.
π Ingredients:
3 medium potatoes π₯
1 onion, thinly sliced π§
1 carrot, grated π₯
5 cloves garlic, minced π§
100g cheese, grated π§
A bunch of spring onions, chopped π±
1 egg π₯
Salt, to taste π§
3 tablespoons flour
Sunflower oil, for frying π»
π©βπ³ Instructions:
Prep the Veggies
Peel and grate the potatoes. Squeeze out excess water using a clean towel or cheesecloth. Place in a large bowl.
Mix It All Together
Add the sliced onion, grated carrot, minced garlic, grated cheese, and chopped spring onions to the bowl. Mix well.
Bind the Mixture
Crack in the egg, add salt to taste, and stir in the flour. Mix until everything is well coated and holds together slightly.
Fry βEm Up!
Heat a generous layer of sunflower oil in a skillet over medium heat. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture into the pan and flatten slightly.
Golden & Crispy
Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides β about 3β4 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
