🍄 Crispy Fried Mushrooms with Cool Ranch Dip 🧄🥣
Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and dipped in a cool, creamy ranch—these fried mushrooms are the perfect snack, side, or party appetizer!
🧾 Ingredients
For the Mushrooms:
1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced 🍄
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 large eggs, beaten 🥚
1 cup breadcrumbs or panko (panko = extra crunch!)
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Ranch Dip:
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp dried dill
1 tsp dried parsley
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
1–2 tbsp buttermilk or milk (to thin, if desired)

Fry the Mushrooms:
Prep Breading Stations:
Set up three bowls—one with flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with breadcrumbs.
Coat Mushrooms:
Dip each mushroom slice in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Press gently to coat well.
Fry:
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Make the Ranch Dip:
Mix it up:
In a bowl, whisk together mayo, sour cream, dill, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add buttermilk to reach desired dipping consistency.
