12 wonton wrappers
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ cup shredded cabbage (purple or green)
½ cup shredded carrots
2 green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
¼ cup sweet chili sauce
Cooking spray
Lime wedges (for serving)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Wonton Wrappers:
Lightly spray both sides of the wonton wrappers with cooking spray.
Place each wrapper into the cups of a muffin tin, pressing down to form a taco shape.
Bake for 7-10 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until no longer pink (about 6-8 minutes).
Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ground ginger. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the chicken is fully coated and flavorful.
Assemble the Filling:
In a bowl, toss together the shredded cabbage, carrots, green onions, and cilantro.
Add the cooked chicken and mix well.
Assemble the Tacos:
Fill each crispy wonton shell with the chicken and veggie mixture. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, a drizzle of sweet chili sauce, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds (optional).
Serve:
Serve immediately with lime wedges for added zest.
