Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta with Italian Flavors
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz penne pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh basil, for garnish
Directions:
Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and oregano. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and slice thinly.
In the same pan, add diced onion and garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing to a simmer. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese.
Let the sauce simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
Add cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the pan, tossing to combine.
Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
