Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp with Herbed Rice

Ingredients

300 g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 Tbsp olive oil or butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

½ cup heavy cream

1 tsp dried Italian herbs

1 cup cooked white rice (basmati or jasmine)
Directions

Prepare the Rice
Cook 1 cup of rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and set aside. -
Cook the Shrimp
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside. -
Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Reduce heat to medium-low. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Italian herbs. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. -
Combine Shrimp and Sauce
Return cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy garlic sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes to heat through. -
Serve
