Creamy Coconut Cake Delight
Indulge in a fluffy white cake soaked in coconut goodness and topped with a creamy coconut layer for the ultimate dessert!
Ingredients:
1 (16 oz) white cake mix
1 (14 oz) can cream of coconut
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (16 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (10 oz) flaked coconut package
Instructions:
Bake the cake:
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the white cake mix box. Prepare and bake the cake in a 9×13-inch baking dish as directed.
Prepare the coconut soak:
While the cake is baking, mix the cream of coconut and sweetened condensed milk together in a small bowl. Stir until fully combined.
Poke the cake:
Once the cake is baked and cooled for about 10 minutes, use a fork or a skewer to poke holes all over the cake, about 1-inch apart.
Soak the cake:
Pour the coconut milk mixture evenly over the cake, making sure it fills the holes and soaks through. Let the cake absorb the mixture while it cools completely (about 30 minutes).
Top the cake:
Spread the thawed whipped topping over the cooled cake. Sprinkle the flaked coconut generously over the top.
Chill and serve:
Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results) to let the flavors meld together. Slice and serve chilled.
💡 Tips:
If you prefer a thicker coconut layer, you can double the amount of whipped topping.
You can toast the coconut flakes in a skillet for a few minutes to add a toasted flavor to the topping.
For added texture, try adding chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts to the coconut topping.
