Creamy Chicken Parmesan Pasta

Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 Tbsp olive oil

4 Tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 Tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups heavy cream
-
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp salt (or to taste)

½ tsp black pepper

12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or rotini)

¼ cup pasta cooking water (as needed)

Directions

Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain. -
Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside. -
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. -
Add Cream & Cheese
Slowly whisk in heavy cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until smooth. -
Combine Everything
Add cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. -
Serve
Garnish with parsley, extra Parmesan, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.
