Creamy Chicken Cordon Bleu Bake
Ingredients:
For the Casserole:
4 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
200g ham, diced
200g Swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer the Ingredients:
Spread the shredded chicken evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the diced ham over the chicken.
Add a layer of shredded Swiss cheese on top of the ham.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sour cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Pour the sauce evenly over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
Make the Topping:
In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the melted butter and grated Parmesan cheese.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake the Casserole:
Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
Serve:
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and enjoy this creamy, cheesy, and flavorful dish!
