Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
½ medium onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
3 cups beef broth
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
2 cups bowtie pasta (farfalle)
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
-
1 tsp paprika (optional, for added flavor)
Optional Garnish
-
Fresh parsley, chopped
-
Extra shredded cheese
Directions
-
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika if using. Drain excess fat. -
Sauté Onions and Garlic
Add diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. -
Add Liquids
Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
Cook the Pasta
Add bowtie pasta to the skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed (about 10–12 minutes). -
Add Cheese
Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. -
Serve
Plate immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra cheese if desired.
