Ingredients:
For the Casserole:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed (about 2-3 chicken breasts)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 8 slices)
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
For the Topping:
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Casserole:
Gently fold in the cooked chicken until evenly distributed.
Transfer the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Add the Tater Tots:
Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly on top of the chicken mixture.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is bubbly.
Add the Topping:
Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the additional 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve:
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
