Crack Chicken Penne
Ingredients:
12 ounces penne pasta
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup green onions, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Cook the Pasta:
In a large pot, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Chicken:
In a slow cooker, add the chicken breasts, ranch seasoning mix, cream cheese, and chicken broth. Stir to combine.
Cook in Slow Cooker:
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Shred the Chicken:
Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it well with the sauce in the slow cooker.
Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked penne pasta to the slow cooker and stir to combine. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more chicken broth until you reach your desired consistency.
Add Cheese and Bacon:
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish and Serve:
