🛒 Ingredients

For the Bread Bombs:

  • 1 loaf of crusty Italian bread or French bread

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

For the Shrimp & Crab Filling:

  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup lump crab meat (drained if canned)

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)

For Topping:

  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • Extra parsley for garnish

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Shrimp & Crab Filling

  1. Finely chop the shrimp into small pieces.

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté shrimp with a tiny bit of butter or oil for 2–3 minutes until just pink. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked shrimp, cream cheese, mozzarella, crab meat, parsley, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until smooth and evenly mixed.

2️⃣ Prep the Bread

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Slice the loaf of bread lengthwise down the center, creating a “boat” shape. Hollow out some of the bread from the center to make room for the filling, leaving a sturdy crust.

  3. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, and Italian herbs (if using). Spread this mixture evenly inside the hollowed bread.

3️⃣ Stuff the Bread

  1. Spoon the shrimp and crab mixture into the hollowed center of the bread, pressing lightly to fill evenly.

  2. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top for that perfect golden, melty crust.

4️⃣ Bake to Perfection

  1. Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15–20 minutes to warm the filling.

  3. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
