Crab Rangoon 🦀🧀
Crispy, golden, and filled with a creamy crab mixture—perfect as an appetizer or snack!
Ingredients:
1 package of square wonton wrappers
8-ounce package imitation crab
16 ounces (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
5 green onions, sliced thin
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Prepare the filling:
In a bowl, combine the imitation crab (finely chopped), softened cream cheese, sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and salt. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
Fill the wonton wrappers:
Place a small spoonful of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Be careful not to overfill. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold it into a triangle or bring the corners together to form a pouch. Pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Fry the Rangoon:
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop the crab Rangoon into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Drain:
Once fried, transfer the Crab Rangoon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve:
Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping!
💡 Tips:
If you prefer a lighter version, you can bake the Crab Rangoon in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Try adding a pinch of garlic powder or lemon zest for extra flavor!
