Cowboy Butter Steak
Ingredients:
2 steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes for a bit of heat
Directions:
Prepare the Cowboy Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well until everything is fully combined. If you like a little heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. Set aside.
Cook the Steak: Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of your steaks with salt and black pepper. If using a skillet, add a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until your desired level of doneness is achieved (use a meat thermometer if needed: 125°F for rare, 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium, and so on).
Top with Cowboy Butter: Once the steaks are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes. Top each steak with a generous scoop of the homemade cowboy butter, allowing it to melt into the steak for a rich, flavorful finish.
Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with additional fresh parsley and chives, and serve alongside your favorite sides. Enjoy the bold flavors of the smoky butter that perfectly complements the juicy steak!
