Country-Style Hamburger Skillet
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 medium potatoes, diced
1 (15 oz) can corn, drained
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Add Potatoes and Cook:
Add the diced potatoes to the skillet.
Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
Combine with Corn and Tomatoes:
Stir in the drained corn and undrained diced tomatoes.
Add the paprika, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Simmer and Finish:
Cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions before serving.
