Cotton Candy Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup cotton candy, chopped into small pieces
1 cup white chocolate chips
Optional: Pink or blue sprinkles for decoration
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Add Cotton Candy and Chocolate Chips:
Gently fold in the chopped cotton candy and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
Form the Cookies:
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
If desired, sprinkle the tops with pink or blue sprinkles for a fun, colorful touch.
Bake the Cookies:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
The centers may still be slightly soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
