🍰🗽 Classic New York Cheesecake – Creamy, Rich & Totally Indulgent! 😍
Nothing beats the timeless flavor of a New York-style cheesecake—ultra-smooth, tangy, and just the right amount of sweetness on a buttery graham cracker crust. It’s a showstopper dessert that never fails to impress!
🧺 Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
¼ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup melted butter
For the Filling:
4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
½ cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
5 large eggs
👩🍳 Directions:
1. Prepare the Crust:
Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly combined.
Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
2. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add sugar and continue beating.
Mix in sour cream and vanilla extract.
Add eggs one at a time, beating just until incorporated. (Don’t overmix to avoid cracks!)
3. Assemble & Bake:
Pour filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
Optional: Place the springform pan in a larger pan filled with 1 inch of hot water for a water bath (helps prevent cracking).
Bake for 55–70 minutes, or until the center is just set but slightly jiggly.
4. Cool & Chill:
Turn off the oven and crack the door open. Let the cheesecake cool for 1 hour in the oven.
Remove from oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
🍓 Serving Ideas:
Top with fresh berries, fruit compote, caramel sauce, or chocolate ganache.
A dollop of whipped cream never hurts!
💡 Pro Tips:
Use room temp ingredients for a smooth, lump-free filling.
Run a knife around the edge before cooling to prevent cracks.
Chill thoroughly for that dense, creamy texture NY cheesecake is famous for!
