π Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites
Crispy edges, gooey centers, and cinnamon sweetness in every bite!
π Ingredients:
1 package cinnamon roll dough (8 rolls, with icing)
2 large eggs
Β½ cup milk
ΒΌ cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Β½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
Powdered sugar, for topping
Maple syrup, for serving
π³ Instructions:
1. Prep the Bites:
Open the cinnamon roll dough and cut each roll into 4β6 bite-sized pieces.
2. Make the Custard:
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla, and ground cinnamon.
3. Dip & Soak:
Add the cinnamon roll bites to the custard mixture and toss to coat. Let them soak for 3β5 minutes so they absorb the flavor.
4. Cook βEm Up:
Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the soaked bites in a single layer (work in batches if needed) and cook, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through β about 6β8 minutes total.
5. Serve:
Transfer to a plate, dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with icing from the cinnamon roll package and a little maple syrup, and enjoy warm!
