🌶️🍗 Chilli Chicken
Spicy, Crispy, and Bursting with Flavor
Chilli Chicken is a classic Indo-Chinese favorite—crispy fried chicken tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce with a perfect balance of heat and aroma. It works beautifully as a main dish, appetizer, or even a party snack. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a bold chili sauce, it’s a dish that’s impossible to resist.
📝 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
Chicken Marinade

1 egg

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ lb boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Sauce & Stir-Fry

2–3 dried red chilies or 1–2 fresh green chilies, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
-
1 small onion, sliced
-
1 small bell pepper, sliced
-
2 tablespoons soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon chili sauce (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vinegar
-
1 teaspoon sugar
-
2–3 tablespoons oil for frying

Chopped spring onions, for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken

Beat the egg and season with salt and pepper.

Add chicken pieces and coat well.

Toss with cornstarch and flour until evenly coated.
2️⃣ Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Fry chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy.

Remove and drain on paper towels.
3️⃣ Prepare the Sauce

In a separate pan or wok, heat 2–3 tablespoons oil.

Sauté garlic, ginger, and chilies until fragrant.

Add onions and bell peppers, stir-frying briefly to keep them crisp.
4️⃣ Combine & Finish

Add fried chicken back into the pan.

Stir in soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, and sugar.

Toss everything together until chicken is coated evenly with sauce.
5️⃣ Serve

Garnish with chopped spring onions.

Serve hot with steamed rice, fried rice, or noodles.
