Chicken Patties (Rissoles) Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil, for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Patties:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, Dijon mustard, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Shape the Patties:
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. You can adjust the size based on your preference.
Cook the Patties:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chicken patties to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Serve:
Once cooked, transfer the chicken patties to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or in a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
