Chicken Lazone
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
1 ½ tsp garlic powder
1 ½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 cup heavy cream
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Season the Chicken:
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
Sear the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and allow it to melt.
Pour in the heavy cream, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Simmer the sauce for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve:
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the creamy sauce.
Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Garnish and Enjoy:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve the chicken with the creamy sauce over a bed of rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
