Cheesy Pizza Bombs Recipe
Ingredients:
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands)
1 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup mini pepperoni (or other pizza toppings like cooked sausage, olives, etc.)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Olive oil or nonstick spray (for greasing)
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil or spray with nonstick spray.
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
Separate the Dough: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small round about 1/4 inch thick.
Step 3: Assemble the Pizza Bombs
Fill with Pizza Ingredients: Place about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce in the center of each flattened dough round. Add a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and mini pepperoni (or your desired toppings).
Seal the Dough: Carefully pull the edges of the dough up and around the filling, pinching to seal. Make sure it is well-sealed to prevent the cheese from leaking out while baking.
Step 4: Bake
Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the sealed pizza bombs, seam side down, on the prepared baking sheet.
Add Garlic Butter Topping: Mix melted butter, minced garlic (if using), and Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the pizza bombs with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pizza bombs are golden brown.
Step 5: Serve
Serve Warm: Let the pizza bombs cool slightly and serve them warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
