Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole
Ingredients:
1 (30 oz) bag frozen hashbrowns, thawed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional topping)
2 tbsp butter, melted (for topping)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Transfer to Casserole Dish:
Spoon the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it out evenly.
Add the Topping (Optional):
If using a topping, mix the crushed cornflakes with 2 tbsp of melted butter and sprinkle the mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and bubbly around the edges.
Serve:
Let it cool slightly before serving. Pair with your favorite main dish for a comforting side!
