Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Alfredo
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
12 oz fettuccine pasta, cooked and drained
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
Cook the Shrimp:
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté Garlic:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well, then bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes until it starts to thicken.
Add Cheese and Seasoning:
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Combine Pasta and Shrimp:
Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta with the Alfredo sauce. Then, add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet, gently mixing them into the sauce.
Serve:
Serve the Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Alfredo hot, garnished with chopped parsley for a burst of freshness.
