Cheesy Cream Cheese Hamburger Pasta Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
2 cups beef broth
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, cubed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups cooked pasta (such as penne or rotini)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add Vegetables:
Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
Build the Sauce:
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
Add Cream Cheese:
Stir in the cubed cream cheese until melted and well combined. Season with dried oregano, dried basil, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir until evenly coated with the sauce.
Transfer to Casserole Dish:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
