Cheesy Beef Tot Bake
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 package (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and diced onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
Make the Sauce:
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Assemble the Casserole:
Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the beef mixture.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve:
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
