Cheeseburger Pretzel Bombs Recipe

Ingredients:
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands)
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups water
1/4 cup baking soda
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Optional toppings: ketchup, mustard, pickles, or cooked bacon

Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Cheeseburger Filling
Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion until soft, about 3 minutes. Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
Add Cheese: Once cooked, remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Flatten the Dough: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
Step 3: Assemble the Pretzel Bombs
Fill the Dough: Place about 1 tablespoon of the cheeseburger mixture in the center of each flattened dough round. Bring the edges of the dough up around the filling and pinch to seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
Prepare Pretzel Bath: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Slowly stir in the baking soda (be careful—it will foam up). Lower the heat to a simmer.
Boil the Pretzel Bombs: Carefully drop each stuffed dough ball into the baking soda water for about 20-30 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a lined baking sheet.
Step 4: Bake the Pretzel Bombs
Egg Wash: Brush each pretzel bomb with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 5: Serve
Serve Warm: Enjoy the Cheeseburger Pretzel Bombs warm, dipped in ketchup, mustard, or topped with pickles for an extra cheeseburger flavor.
