Cheese Tortellini Pepperoni Pizza Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (optional)
1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook the Tortellini:
Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, marinara or pizza sauce, chopped bell peppers, and sliced black olives (if using). Mix until the tortellini is well coated with the sauce.
Assemble the Casserole:
Spread half of the tortellini mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the sliced pepperoni over the tortellini. Repeat the layers with the remaining tortellini mixture, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.
Add Seasonings and Parmesan:
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, and garlic powder evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake:
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Ingredients:
