Buttery Honey Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves (minced)
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Directions:
Prep the Shrimp:
Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and fresh lemon juice. Set aside.
Sauté Garlic:
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
Cook the Shrimp:
Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
Add the Sauce:
Pour the honey-soy sauce mixture into the skillet and stir to coat the shrimp. Add the red pepper flakes for a bit of spice (optional). Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and glaze the shrimp.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
