Brownies in Muffin Pans

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease or line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.
Melt Butter:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Combine Ingredients:
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until smooth.
If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
Fill Muffin Pans:
Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared muffin pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a brownie comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the brownies to cool in the muffin pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy as is, or top with a scoop of ice cream for an extra treat!
