⭐ Ingredients
-
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
-
18.3 ounces brownie mix (1 standard box)
-
1/4 cup milk (more as needed)
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/8 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness and creaminess)
-
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
🍫 Instructions
1. Heat-Treat the Brownie Mix (Important!)
Because boxed brownie mix contains raw flour, it must be heat-treated before use.
Microwave method:
-
Pour brownie mix into a microwave-safe bowl.
-
Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mix reaches 165°F throughout (usually 1–2 minutes).
-
Let the mix cool completely.
Oven method:
-
Spread the dry brownie mix on a baking sheet.
-
Bake at 300°F for 5–7 minutes.
-
Cool fully before using.
2. Make the Dip
-
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
-
Add vanilla extract and salt; mix to combine.
-
Gradually add the cooled, heat-treated brownie mix.
-
Add milk a little at a time until you reach a soft, dip-like consistency.
-
Taste—add powdered sugar if you want it sweeter or creamier.
-
Fold in mini chocolate chips.
3. Serve
Spoon into a serving bowl and top with extra chocolate chips. Serve immediately or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
