Brown Sugar Grilled Pineapple

Brown Sugar Grilled Pineapple

Ingredients:
1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into rings or wedges
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp honey (optional)
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:
Prepare the Pineapple:
Peel, core, and cut the pineapple into rings or wedges. Set aside in a large bowl or on a baking sheet.
Make the Brown Sugar Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, melted butter, and honey (if using). If desired, add a touch of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
Coat the Pineapple:
Brush the brown sugar mixture generously over both sides of the pineapple rings or wedges, making sure to coat them evenly.
Preheat the Grill:
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium heat (around 350-400°F). Lightly grease the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
Grill the Pineapple:
Place the pineapple directly onto the grill grates. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until grill marks form and the pineapple is caramelized. Be careful not to overcook, as the sugar can burn quickly.
Serve:
Remove the pineapple from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Serve warm as a side dish, dessert, or over ice cream for a sweet treat.
