Broiled Tilapia Parmesan
Ingredients:
Tilapia Fillets: 4
Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup, grated
Butter: 1/4 cup, softened
Mayonnaise: 3 tablespoons
Lemon Juice: 2 tablespoons
Dried Basil: 1/4 teaspoon
Ground Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
Onion Powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Celery Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions:
Preheat Broiler: Set your oven’s broiler to high and place the oven rack about 4-6 inches from the heat source.
Prepare the Fish: Arrange the tilapia fillets in a single layer on a broiler pan or baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Season with a bit of salt and pepper if desired.
Broil the Tilapia: Broil the fillets for 2-3 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fish, until they are nearly done and just beginning to flake.
Make the Parmesan Topping: In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise, lemon juice, basil, black pepper, onion powder, and celery salt. Mix until well blended and creamy.
Top and Broil Again: Spread the Parmesan mixture evenly over the tops of the broiled tilapia fillets. Return the fish to the broiler and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the topping is bubbly and lightly browned.
Serve: Serve the broiled tilapia hot, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh herbs if desired. It pairs well with a side salad, steamed vegetables, or rice.
