Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
2 ½ cups Bisquick mix
2/3 cup milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Filling:
¼ cup butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round baking pan or a square 8×8-inch pan.
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more Bisquick until it’s workable.
Roll Out the Dough:
Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
Add the Filling:
Spread the softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
Roll and Slice:
Starting from one of the longer edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Slice the log into 1-inch thick rolls.
Arrange and Bake:
Place the rolls in the prepared baking pan, cut side up, leaving a little space between each roll. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
Prepare the Icing:
While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.
Ice the Rolls:
Once the rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls.
Serve:
Serve the cinnamon rolls warm for the best taste experience.
