π½ Biscuits & Gravy Hashbrown Casserole π½
A hearty, comforting breakfast casserole that combines all the delicious flavors of biscuits and gravy with crispy hashbrowns, melted cheese, and savory sausage. Perfect for feeding a crowd or a cozy weekend brunch! π₯π³π§
Ingredients:
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits π₯―
1 lb breakfast sausage (spicy or mild) π
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese π§
1 package (20 oz) frozen hashbrowns, thawed π₯
1/2 cup milk π₯
1/4 teaspoon black pepper π§
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
1/2 cup gravy (from the sausage, see instructions)
Instructions:
Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook the Sausage:
In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks until browned and crumbled. Once cooked, remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Gravy:
Using the same skillet, leave a little bit of the sausage drippings and add milk, stirring constantly to make a quick gravy. If itβs too thick, add a bit more milk until you get the desired consistency. Add black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (optional). Stir in some of the cooked sausage into the gravy for added flavor.
Assemble the Casserole:
Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and place them evenly in the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
Spread the thawed hashbrowns over the biscuits.
Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the hashbrowns and then pour the gravy mixture evenly over everything.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake the Casserole:
Bake for 35β40 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the biscuits are cooked through.
Serve & Enjoy:
