Big Mac Sloppy Joes

Big Mac Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup dill pickles, chopped (plus extra for topping)
1 tbsp mustard
1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
6 hamburger buns
1 cup shredded lettuce
6 slices American cheese
Sesame seeds (optional, for topping buns)
Butter for toasting buns

Directions:
Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
Season the Meat:
Stir in the mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes until well combined.
Create the Sloppy Joe Mixture:
Add the Thousand Island dressing and chopped dill pickles to the skillet, stirring everything together. Reduce heat and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Prepare the Buns:
Butter the insides of your hamburger buns and toast them in a skillet or on a griddle until golden brown. If you prefer sesame seeds, sprinkle them on top of the buns before toasting.
Assemble the Sloppy Joes:
Place a slice of American cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Add a generous scoop of the sloppy Joe mixture on top of the cheese.
Top with shredded lettuce and extra pickles, if desired.
Serve:
Place the top bun over the filling and serve immediately with your favorite side, like fries or chips!
