For many, the sight of blue or green pathways tracing beneath the surface of the skin is a source of curiosity or even concern. We often glance at our wrists or the backs of our hands and wonder why these intricate maps are so prominent. It is a common phenomenon that sparks endless questions in the realm of health and aesthetics.

Historically, visible veins were sometimes associated with hard labor or, conversely, a sign of ‘noble’ blood. However, modern science offers a much more grounded explanation for why some individuals possess a more translucent appearance than others.
