Bang Bang Shrimp: Crispy and Saucy
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 egg, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil, for frying
Bang Bang Sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp sriracha sauce (optional for spice)
1 tbsp honey
Directions:
In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat in panko breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make the Bang Bang sauce.
Toss the crispy shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro.
