Bang Bang Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (or more to taste)
1 tablespoon honey

Instructions:
1. Marinate the Chicken:
Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
2. Prepare the Breading:
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
3. Fry the Chicken:
Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
Take each chicken piece out of the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off, and coat it in the flour mixture.
Fry the chicken in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet, for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
4. Make the Bang Bang Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth.
5. Toss the Chicken in the Sauce:
Once all the chicken pieces are fried, place them in a large bowl and pour the Bang Bang sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
6. Serve:
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro, if desired.
