Baked Garlic Herb Potato Wedges
Ingredients:
4 large russet potatoes, washed and cut into wedges
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Optional: grated Parmesan cheese (for extra flavor)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Prepare the Potatoes:
Cut the potatoes into wedges. Try to make the wedges roughly the same size for even cooking. Leave the skins on for added texture and flavor.
Season the Potatoes:
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together to evenly coat the potatoes with the seasoning mixture.
Arrange on the Baking Sheet:
Spread the seasoned potato wedges out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure the wedges are not overcrowded, as this will help them cook evenly and become crispy.
Bake:
Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
Serve:
Once the wedges are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley before serving for extra flavor.
