Baked Apple Pie Roll-Ups
Ingredients:
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 large apple (peeled, cored, and diced; Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
1 tsp cinnamon sugar (for sprinkling, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the filling:
In a medium bowl, combine the diced apple, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
Prepare the crescent roll dough:
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
Assemble the roll-ups:
Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the apple mixture on the wide end of each triangle of dough. Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end, and pinch the edges to seal.
Brush with egg wash:
Place the roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
Sprinkle with sugar:
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon (if using). Sprinkle this mixture over the tops of the roll-ups.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the roll-ups are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. These roll-ups are delicious on their own or served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
Enjoy these Baked Apple Pie Roll-Ups as a delightful dessert that’s sure to please everyone!
