Backyard BBQ Mac & Dog Bake
All the flavor of a cookout, baked into one cheesy, saucy pasta dish.
Ingredients:
8 oz cavatappi pasta
2 cups mini smoked sausages (or cocktail franks)
1 lb ground beef
3/4 cup BBQ sauce (sweet and tangy style)
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
Butter or nonstick spray (for greasing)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
Cook cavatappi until al dente; drain and set aside.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, then drain the grease.
Add BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
Stir in the cooked pasta and mini smoked sausages until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and spread out.
Top with sharp cheddar cheese.
Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Let sit a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
