Chicken Crescent Rolls
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced, you can use rotisserie chicken)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
1/4 cup ranch dressing (or sour cream)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough (usually 8 rolls)
2 tbsp melted butter (optional, for brushing)
Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prepare the Filling:
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until everything is well combined and the mixture is smooth.
Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into the individual triangles as per the package instructions.
Fill the Rolls:
Place a heaping spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. Be careful not to overfill them so the rolls stay sealed.
Roll and Seal:
Roll up each crescent roll starting from the wide end, rolling toward the point. Press the edges gently to seal the dough and keep the filling inside.
Bake:
Arrange the rolled-up crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter for extra flavor and golden color, if desired.
Bake in the Oven:
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
Garnish and Serve:
Optional: Sprinkle the rolls with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
Serve the Chicken Crescent Rolls warm as a dinner or appetizer.
