Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Season the chicken thighs or breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Lightly coat each piece with flour, shaking off any excess.
Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes (if using).
Stir and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
Combine Chicken and Sauce:
Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it well with the honey garlic sauce.
Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes so the chicken absorbs the sauce.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired, and serve over rice or alongside vegetables.
