Ham and Cheese Hash Brown Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 (32 oz) package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
2 cups cooked ham, diced
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom)
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, diced ham, 1 cup of shredded cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, melted butter, chopped onion (if using), garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Assemble the Casserole:
Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese over the top.
Bake:
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until it’s hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Garnish and Serve:
Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
