Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce Recipe

Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
2 oz cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 lb fettuccine or pasta of your choice

Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add the cream cheese (if using) and stir until it melts and is fully incorporated.
Add the Cheese:
Slowly whisk in the Parmesan and Romano cheeses until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Season the Sauce:
Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed.
Combine and Serve:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Serve hot with extra grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of parsley, if desired.
