Crockpot Chicken & Gravy
Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 packets chicken gravy mix (approx. 1 ounce each)
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Prepare Crockpot: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
Mix Gravy Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
Pour Over Chicken: Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot, ensuring they are well covered.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
Shred Chicken: Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken in the crockpot and mix it well with the gravy.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a hearty meal.
